The application of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide on teeth lightens their color, the hydrogen peroxide being three times more effective than carbamide peroxide. In general, the treatment is ambulatory: the patient wears gutters filled with the whitening product for 4 hours a day. After 10 days, teeth become whiter.
